About

who we are

Many cross through me, through many I cross.
I symbolize transformations and carry memories.
In my structure I hold the whole of my history.
I am reflection and consequence of the past.
I am a window to the future, a point of view.
A perspective, a rupture.
New paths for light, water, air…
I am other possibilities of creation.

Rachadura began as a collective of neighbor artists working together, voluntarily, to promote musicians, performances, visual artists and writers through music videos and social media.

From the countryside — between Santa Catarina, Paraná and Pará — we became auteur, queer and affective cinema. Our films, music videos, video installations and publications start from childhood, bodies, faith and memory to crack open what seemed smooth: the norms, the silences, what is inherited.

We work with people who make art for real and take these stories to festivals in Brazil and around the world — always coming back home.
