Prism

Original title: Prisma

A meeting between two friends and an unknown attraction. The borderline between the real and the imagined, the inside and the outside, friendship and love, one body and another. Prism is the story of a connection between surfaces that, once in touch, wakes the shattered power of feelings.

Matheus Marco Moraes’s first film, Prism was born at film school: the screenplay won a university contest and was shot on MiniDV with the school’s equipment. Without any funding, the short was only finished in 2013 — produced and edited by Rudolfo Auffinger, long before Rachadura existed.

On screen, the film is split into three side-by-side frames, like the faces of a prism: the same encounter seen from different angles and times.
